Hauser & Wirth and Culture for One first partnered in 2023. Since then, Hauser & Wirth has invested in providing our youth with extraordinary experiences in the arts, including artist-led conversations and workshops, and private tours at their galleries.
The first collaborative workshop between Hauser & Wirth and Culture for One was a summer-long internship for eight CFO youth, hosted by Mark Bradford and gallery staff.
The program culminated with the participants leading their own public tours of Bradford’s exhibition, entitled ‘Nobody Knows the Trouble I’ve Seen’ (2023 – 2024). Subsequent collaborations have included an intimate walkthrough of the exhibition, ‘The Flesh of the Earth’ (2024), led by Nigerian American writer and curator Enuma Okoro; a drawing class with artist Catherine Goodman; a figure and observational drawing lesson coinciding with ‘David Smith. No One Thing;’ and tours and workshops organized to engage with exhibitions such as ‘Louise Bourgeois. Once There Was a Mother’ (2023), ‘Anj Smith. Drifting Habitations’ (2024), and ‘Rita Ackerman. Splits’ (2024).
At our 2024 Annual Gala, Culture for One honored Manuela Wirth, Chairwoman & President of Hauser & Wirth, for her commitment to learning and community, and for welcoming our young participants into the world of art with open arms. Manuela and the gallery team have created a welcoming home for so many CFO youth.

“What continues to stand out for me is the way they simply put the young people first. It’s a simple statement, but one that reflects a special ethos and has great impact.”
