Culture for One is honored to have been selected by Christie's, the world-renowned auction house, to participate in their Social Responsibility Program.

The partnership was launched with an invitation for a group of Culture for One teens to attend the opening of the 2024 Christie's Staff Art Show. Christie's staff guided our youth through the exhibit, encouraging questions and conversation, and offering them a rare and meaningful view of the art world. In an extraordinary gesture of great generosity, Christie's donated the proceeds of the Staff Art Show to Culture for One's arts programs.

Other magical opportunities followed, including a guided tour of Christie's Maurice Sendak exhibit at Christie's Rockefeller Center location, followed by a reading of Where the Wild Things Are and mask-making workshop led by a Christie’s teaching artist.

In 2025, Christie's again invited a group of Culture for One teens for a guided tour of the Christie's Staff Art Show. Once more, the artists opened their arms to our youth, taking the time to explain the art on display and encouraging questions. Our teens left inspired not only by the art itself, but also the creative arts opportunities Christie's fosters for its staff.

The staff at Christie's has created a welcoming, inspiring environment for all the young people we serve, from kindergartners to young adults. We are deeply grateful to them for their commitment to Culture for One's mission, and for actively helping to ensure that the arts are accessible to all. By opening doors, sparking curiosity, and broadening perspectives, Christie’s is helping ensure that the arts are truly accessible to all.
