Culture for One is thrilled to announce that we are—for the first time ever—a charity partner of the 2026 NYC Marathon.
We are looking for runners who want to raise funds for our arts programs that serve children and families in foster care in NYC.

YPB FALL 5K EVENT
NOVEMBER 15, 2025
The Young Professionals Board held their 2nd annual Fall 5K. This event kicked off a Giving Tuesday social media campaign. 87 participants began the 5K at Bluestone Lane at Battery Park, which generously donated coffee, and ended at Monk McGinns, which generously donated a space and a first round of drinks.

FALL GALA
NOVEMBER 3, 2025
Our Fall Gala was held at the Edison Ballroom to celebrate 15 years of bringing the transformative power of the arts to NYC children in foster care.
At the event, Harold Koda, former Curator in Charge of The Costume Institute at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Culture for One board member, presented the Culture for One Inspiration Award to Melissa Xides, Chief Retail Officer of Bergdorf Goodman, in recognition of the company’s generous support and partnership over the past three years.
The event also featured a retrospective display of Culture for One’s programming, as well as performances by Culture for One children, celebrating the organization’s 15th anniversary.
Spring ReceptioN

Our Spring Reception at Christie's featured a private viewing of 'Maurice Sendak: Artist, Collector, Connoisseur'—offering guests a rare glimpse into the beloved creator's remarkable personal collection. The evening celebrated our meaningful partnership with Christie's, which opens doors for children in foster care to experience the transformative power of art. Culture for One participants Aiana and Rebecca shared moving stories of how Culture for One has transformed their lives and the impact their mentors have had on their life trajectories. Over cocktails, we witnessed firsthand how art creates lasting change, one young person at a time.

YPB SPRING EVENT

Our largest and most successful Young Professionals Board Spring Event brought many new friends and colleagues to the Carton House, infusing new energy and passion into our community.
Funds raised through tickets, raffle tickets, and a silent auction sent 25 children to summer arts camp.
