ARTS SCHOLARSHIPS
The ARTS SCHOLARSHIPS PROGRAM allows Culture for One to leverage the excellence of NYC’s arts education community, opening doors and networks of support for artistic exploration and study not otherwise available to youth in foster care. Scholarships allow youth to move from interest in the arts to formal study of the medium of their choice. Access to these arts programs also helps participants build confidence and expand their community of positive role models and peers. Our students benefit from the added attention and guidance of their instructors and school administrators and the opportunity to develop friendships with peers based on a shared passion and skill. Our Program Director tailors the scholarship to each child’s area of interest, talent, maturity, and school schedule. Participants study art, music, voice, dance, drama, photography, and digital arts.
