Forestdale, Inc.: Forestdale is a Queens-based organization that connects young people and families to their communities. It provides foster care, preventive services and a nationally recognized Fatherhood Initiative that reunites fathers with their children and prepares them to become active dads. It also works with pregnant and parenting teens to help them access medical care, day care and education.  Forestdale’s overall mission is to increase the resilience and independence of the over 100 families itserves each year.

In addition to ensuring the safety and healthy development of children, Forestdale provides adolescents, including young fathers in their Fathering Initiative, with reproductive health care and health literacy to stem the rising tide of teenage pregnancy and parenting, as well as to prepare teens to become their own health care advocates.  It unstintingly promotes education in order to prepare teens enrolled in its Youth Development program to live independently.

ACS Children's Center: New York City’s Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) is the government agency responsible for child welfare, juvenile justice, and early care and education in New York City. The agency is charged with protecting and promoting the well-being of the City's children, youth, and families each day.  Opened in November 2000, the ACS Nicholas Scopetta Children’s Center is where children first arrive once they are taken into ACS’ care and before they are placed with a foster family. The Center also houses the James Satterwhite Academy, which trains the agency’s staff, including Juvenile Counselors and Child Protective Specialists. Also located at the Center is Emergency Children’s Services, which provides child protective services on nights and weekends, allowing the Division of Child Protection to operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Good Shepherd Services: Good Shepherd Services is a leading youth development, education and family service agency with over 80 programs that serve nearly 30,000 children, youth and families each year. We go where children, youth, and families face the greatest challenges and build on their strengths to help them gain skills for success. We provide quality, effective services that deepen connections between family members, within schools, and among neighbors. We work closely with community leaders to advocate, both locally and nationally, on behalf of our participants to make New York City a better place to live and work. Good Shepherd Services leads in the development of innovative programs that make a difference in the lives of children, youth and families today.

JCCA: JCCA provides comprehensive care to thousands of children, young people and families who come from New York's many diverse communities. Since 1822, we have embraced those who need us most -- abused, neglected and traumatized young people who are struggling with poverty, developmental disabilities and complex mental illness. We also work with disadvantaged Jewish immigrants and with Jewish children and their families in support of Jewish continuity. Our programs include foster and residential care, educational assistance and remediation, case management for young people with mental health challenges and services to families to prevent child abuse and maltreatment. JCCA offers safety, stability and lifesaving support to help our clients transform their lives. In everything we do, we are guided by the Jewish mandate of tikkun olam – the responsibility of every person to make the world a better place.
